The Scoot-R website needed a complete redesign. The content wasn’t laid out clearly, there wasn’t really a call to action, and the site didn’t look professional. There was a lack of information on the main service, ie the rental of electric bikes by the hour or by the day, and the local natural referencing was not optimized.
In order to simplify the task of Scoot-R staff in the busiest season, a vehicle reservation system has been introduced on the site. It is therefore possible to reserve any vehicle still available for 1/2 or a day at a time. Usually, reservations were made by phone, so this reduces the workload for the staff, who now receive reservations by email.
The reservation system put in place makes it possible to:
- manage available vehicle inventories
- display the rates according to the duration of the rental
- close reservations according to specific dates, the business being closed from October to May each year
Reorganization of content
The site needed a cleanup in relation to the arrangement of the content. Pages are now easier to read, and everything is better organized within the pages themselves, making navigation more enjoyable.
The website needed to be optimized for search engines, from a keyword perspective, locally. All text, page descriptions, meta tags, title structure and image “alt” tags have therefore been reviewed.
